Healthcare is evolving at tremendous pace, and every week there are new companies that enter the market – they suggest new products, services and improve existing ones. Here we are faced with a question – is it possible to watch global or regional market for new startups? There are some resources on the Internet – though not so many of them. We provide here reference list to most interesting in our view. We start with two rather unusual projects, but in our opinion – they are the most effective for everyday watch list.
StartupBlink Wants To Become The One Stop Shop For Startups
Federico Guerrini Contributor Jan 20, 2015
Not a day goes by without a new startup being born. They spring like mushrooms everywhere, so it’s very difficult to keep track of them. But what if there was a one-stop shop on the Web, where you could (ideally) find all the startups in the world, nicely catalogued and put on a map? That’s exactly the idea behind StartupBlink, a Swiss-based startup launched by two entrepreneurs: Israel-born Eli David, who previously co-founded Lingolearn.com, an online language school and worked for big firms like BDO and KPMG, and Roderick Warren who, before entering the tech industry, joined the U.S. Air Force, working on assignments in conflict zones such as Iraq and Kosovo.
StartupBlink which is online – in a full-fledged version – since early December, does not map only startups, but everything related to the startup ecosystem: from accelerators to coworking spaces and jobs. It also highlights influencers on a global or regional level, freelancers (they can be filtered by category, skill and hourly rate) and ambassadors, who are basically people actively engaged in promoting the platform in their own area. They are also able to decide on startups ranking in their city and post updates and reviews on startups. The team implemented some networking features as well: after adding their startup to the map, participants can broadcast their news to the world by posting updates, called “blinks”.
… David and Warren think of their platform as a central hub for small and mid-sized startup, not looking so much for money and VCs, but seeking to establish useful connections with like-minded entrepreneurs, customers and colleagues.
So far, the platform is indexing tens of thousands of startups, part of them manually registered by the founders, and partly gathered sifting the Web and pulling data by online directories and websites.

StartupBlink maps startups, accelerators and coworking spaces around the globe
Abhimanyu Ghoshal by Abhimanyu Ghoshal
Ever wonder where the next startup boom might happen around the globe? A close look at StartupBlink might be of help. The site features a world map of startups, accelerator programs, coworking spaces and more.
While it’s hard to say exactly how many startups there are on Earth, StartupBlink knows where over 67,000 of them are located — along with nearly 100 accelerators and 200 coworking spaces.
StartupBlink also maps startup ecosystem influencers (like Mukund Mohan, Ben Horowitz, Steven Sinofsky, Gary Veynerchuk, and even our own Patrick de Laive), freelancers of various disciplines and job openings at startups.
The map lets you filter startups by industry and location, while the freelancer search filters guns-for-hire by discipline, specific skill set and hourly rate.
Startups can also create Blinks to broadcast news, event listings, promotions and even post questions for the community to respond to. Users can comment on and share Blinks via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
